1999 PADDLING ADAPTER
WORLD RANKINGS

Although fewer in number, the 1999 Paddling Adapter World Rankings were decidedly faster than previous years'. Participation from outside the U.S. was up, with many entries from Australia.

The number of half-hour distance entries was up; because of this, they are ranked by category as well as overall. We also  included rankings categories for wheelchair athletes following their indoor paddling regatta participation.  An asterisk is added beside times of racers who paddled on only one side during their timed piece.

How to enter your time / distance for the 2002 Rankings:
  1. The damper on your rower may be set anywhere you choose, but must remain the same for the entire piece. You might want to experiment beforehand to see which setting is the most efficient for you.
  2. If you are likely to set a new world record, overall or in your category, have someone watch you paddle and sign your entry as a witness.
  3. To enter the 2002 Rankings, you must use a Vermont Waterways Canoe Paddling Adapter.
  4. Your entry must arrive at Vermont Waterways by May 1, 2002.
  5. Use our Rankings Entry Form to submit your data.
