2003 PADDLING ADAPTER
WORLD RANKINGS

They're Back!  Responding to recent requests from several paddling groups,  we've decided to start up the rankings again.

We have added a new category this year: the 3-minute single-sided piece, designed for Dragon Boat paddlers.  In this ranking, you can choose which side you paddle on, but you must not switch during your 3-minute piece.  We have also set the filing deadline for June 1, 2003.  We plan to update the rankings weekly throughout the year.

To compare rankings performances using a weight adjustment factor have a look at the formula in our newsletter.

How to enter your time / distance for the 2003 Rankings:
  1. The damper on your rower may be set anywhere you choose, but must remain the same for the entire piece. You might want to experiment beforehand to see which setting is the most efficient for you.
  2. If you are likely to set a new world record, overall or in your category, have someone watch you paddle and sign your entry as a witness.
  3. To enter the 2003 Rankings, you must use a Vermont Waterways Canoe Paddling Adapter.
  4. Your entry must arrive at Vermont Waterways by June 1, 2003.
  5. Use our Rankings Entry Form to submit your data.

Age and weight breakdowns and information on how to enter your time in the 2003 rankings follow:
